G-Star by Marc Newson Spring/Summer 2010 Collection

G-Star continues its creative collaboration with designer, Marc Newson, with a Limited Edition Spring/Summer 2010 collection, to be made available through high-end retail boutiques including 10 Corso Como in Milan, Seoul and Tokyo, Colette in Paris, Moss in New York and Moss and Maxfield in Los Angeles.
The collection features Newson’s modern interpretation of four classic styled jackets and two T-Shirts, available in both men and women’s cuts and based around an Indigo Blue palate. The traditional utilitarian fabrics associated with each style are replaced by premium materials, presenting a creative fusion of street-wear silhouettes and couture-level fabrics.
The collection will debut with selected retail partners from January 2010.

Life-Size Boat Model kit

Swedish artist Michael Johansson has made a life-size dinghy "model kit" from a real boat and related equipment, called TOYS'R'US. Boat and related equipment are joined together in a welded metal frame, and painted a uniform gray to resemble the surface of a model kit. "The real boat is transformed into a model of itself, and its original purpose has given way to something else. "

Mobile Phone runs on Coke

Designer Daizi Zheng has designed an eco friendly phone for Nokia, which runs on Coca-Cola drinks. Yes, its fuel cells generates electricity from carbohydrates (sugar) in the Coke and it can run on any sugary water, not just Coke.

Bio battery has the potential to operate three to four times longer on a single charge than conventional lithium batteries and it could be fully biodegradable. Meanwhile, it brings a whole new perception to batteries and afternoon tea.

Jordan Spring 2010 Footwear

We take a look at some of the upcoming Jordan Spring 2010 releases. January and February 2010 will see some good drops. Our favorites include the Air Jordan Alpha 1 and two new colorways of the Jordan Spizike. The Air Jordan Alpha 1 comes in its most classic colors and features a perforated upper. The Spizikes also come in a well balanced and classic color/material mix.

FATSARAZZI Night & Day Exhibition Paris

Towards the end of January La Drogheria in Paris will be hosting a FATSARAZZI exhibition. The retrospective show consists of 30 pictures, taken from the artist’s upcoming book, which will see a released in Autumn 2010 at colette. “Night & Day” will open on January 23rd.

Nike Spring 2010 Air Safari

Originally introduced in 1987, the Nike Air Safari is a bonafide running classic. The latest iteration sees it receiving a dark grey, black and crimson color treatment akin the the recent Auto Force 180 Mid. Leather uppers and the ubiquitous safari print complete the package. Bit of a Jordan vibe, no?

Huf Announces Footwear Collection

Huf has grown from a retailer to a brand in recent years, producing very solid full clothing collections. Today we get a first teaser look at their upcoming footwear collection. Huf will come out with its own branded footwear line, consisting of several low top and high top styles. It looks like Spring/Summer 2010 will be the first season of their own sneaker collection. So far it is looking very interesting and hopefully we can soon show you more!
